The flat is only a five minute walk from the city centre. The immediate neighbours to the flat are quiet, a bank and other flats and apartments that used to be the Charnwood Hotel. These are luxury flats which have now all been sold. The flat is situated in a lively area with plenty of pubs, bars, clubs (Niche and the Republic / Gatecrasher) and restaurants nearby. There's a large Waitrose supermarket close by. Very good for public transport and convenient for both Hallam University and the University of Sheffield. The rent compares favouably with University accommodation.
Basically if you look at the picture, the flat is above a shop (a barber's), so there's no building on one side and a bank on the other. The flat entrance is around the back of the apartment. A flight of stairs around the back of the flat leads to a small landing with a large living room / kitchen (which looks out to the front of the building) and a toilet / bathroom with shower at the back of the flat. Up another flight of stairs to another small landing with a large bedroom (double) at the front of the building, and the smallest bedroom in the flat (single) at the back. Up another flight of stairs leads directly into the third bedroom which is v. big, in fact being a loft conversion it's the size of the building. The whole flat is centrally heated with a combi boiler which provides the hot water. There's a fridge and gas cooker in the living room / kitchen. The flat is part furnished. It's v. convenient for the city (5 minute walk up London Road), and the main part of Hallam University is a 10 / 15 minute walk, up London Road and The Moor.
